Restaurant style shahi paneer recipe(ସାହୀ ପନିର)-How to Prepare in Home (Full recipe)

Prep time: 10 min            Cook time: about 30 min               Serving size: 4-6
250 gm paneer
3 tbsp ghee or butter
1 onion chopped
1/2" piece ginger chopped fine
2 green chilies chopped fine
4 tomatoes chopped fine
2 cardamoms crushed
1/4 cup beaten curd
1/2 tsp. red chili powder
1/2 tsp. garam masala
Salt to taste
To garnish:
2 tbsp. grated paneer
1 tbsp. chopped coriander

Cooking Directions

  • Cut the paneer into small cube
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee in pan.
  • Add onion, ginger, green chili and cardamom.
  • Fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes,curd and cook for 5-6 minutes
  • Add 1/2 cup water and cool.
  • Blend this fry spices in mixer till smooth.
  • Heat ghee then add blend spices, red chili powder and garam masala
  • Boil it to get very thick gravy.
  • Just before serving, heat gravy, add paneer and boil for 3-4 minutes.
