Labanga lata (ଲବଙ୍ଗ ଲତା) -How to Prepare in Home (Full recipe)

200 gm Flour (Maida)
50 gm cloves
25 gm Condensed milk
100 gm Sugar powder
250 gm Ghee
5 gm Elachi
Baking soda as required
Cooking Directions

  • First take Maida and add baking soda in it, Mix it well
  • Then add water in it and knead it to make dough.
  • Make stuffing: - In a bowl mix the sugar powder, elachi and condensed milk finely.
  • Make sugar syrup using sugar and water .
  • Boil it in medium flame till it gets to medium-thick consistency.
  • Now make small small ball and roll out like puries.
  • Place the stuffing in the center of puries and then take both ends of each puries, make them overlap with water.
  • It should come to form a cylindrical shape, put a clove in
  • cylindrical pocket at the center of top part.
  • Now deep fry in ghee till golden brown color.
  • After that transfer them into sugar syrup.

Your Labanga lata is ready.
